Throttle + ShipStation
Push paid Throttle orders into ShipStation as shipments and sync tracking numbers and delivery back onto the order, with a scheduled catch-up sweep.
What the integration does
The ShipStation extension connects Throttle orders to your warehouse in both directions.
Throttle → ShipStation. When an order is paid, it’s created in ShipStation as a shipment with its items and ship-to address, ready to pick, pack, and label. Updates to the order before it ships follow it across, and a cancelled order withdraws the shipment.
ShipStation → Throttle. When you buy a label and ship, the carrier, tracking number, tracking link, and ship date are written onto the order’s fulfillment in Throttle. When the carrier reports delivery, the fulfillment completes — which fires Throttle’s own shipping webhooks, so customer emails and other tools hear about it too.
A catch-up job runs every six hours to backfill any paid order that never reached ShipStation, sweep cancellations, and pick up tracking that didn’t arrive by webhook.
Setting it up
- Install the extension and paste your ShipStation API key — it’s checked against ShipStation before it’s saved, and everything on the Throttle side is set up automatically.
- Optionally choose a ship-from warehouse (your ShipStation default otherwise), a fallback phone number, residential or commercial handling, and whether shipments show in ShipStation’s Orders tab.
- Switch on tracking return.
Availability
The ShipStation extension is built by the Throttle team and running for merchants in early access ahead of its public marketplace listing. Ask us to enable it for your workspace.
